Therapeutic Horse Program Scholarships are funded by generous donations to the Springbrook Foundation. These limited resources are intended to assist those with financial needs who would otherwise not be able to participate in a therapeutic horsemanship experience. Scholarships are available to children & adults with developmental disabilities who receive services from Springbrook and/or Southern Tier Connect.
APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE 2023 RIDING SEASON BEGINNING MONDAY, JANUARY 30TH.
Up to ten (10) vouchers may be awarded to a person, to be used for therapeutic horseback riding lessons, horse care, leading, cart riding, and other horse-related activities during 2023 at one of the participating stables:
- Athelas Therapeutic Riding, 1179 County Highway 5, Otego
- Golden Gait Farm, 3613 Pine Swamp Road, Sidney Center
- Stable Movements, 18 Smith Hill Road, Binghamton
Horse program activities must be scheduled by the scholarship recipient and their family/advocate. Transportation and staffing are not included in the scholarship. Vouchers must be used by November 30, 2023.
APPLY NOW! All applications must be submitted online by Friday, March 3rd. Scholarship recipients will be notified via mail by March 17.
Previous scholarship recipients may apply, but those who did not use their vouchers, or who were no-shows for scheduled sessions, are not likely to be awarded vouchers again.
