Our tuition reimbursement program supports current employees at Southern Tier Connect in their pursuit of higher education and attainment of credentials applicable to their careers.

Investing in our staff

Our staff members are critical to the success of our agency, which is why Southern Tier Connect has adopted a higher education program to invest in our employees’ success. The Tuition Reimbursement Program will cover up to 100% of your reimbursement submission, dependent upon your grade. Tuition reimbursement is available to all full-time employees who are considered to be in good standing and will be considered for any courses that are deemed relevant to your job performance or are in pursuit of an approved degree or certification program.

Application and Admissions Process

​Admission into the Southern Tier Connect Tuition Reimbursement Program is competitive and not all individuals interested in the program may be accepted. Applications are reviewed on a competitive basis and will include the employee’s job performance, long-term goals, and Southern Tier Connect’s available financial resources for the program. Candidates for this program represent the very best of Southern Tier Connect – employees who are ready to better themselves and the world around them through dedication, hard work, and a positive attitude. It is an honor and a privilege to be selected for this program.

Interested candidates must complete an application that includes a personal statement of intent and a recommendation statement from your director. The recommendation statement should include specific reasons for the recommendation and how your continuing education is beneficial to Southern Tier Connect and supports our mission.

The Fine Print

As an accepted participant in the Tuition Reimbursement Program, Southern Tier Connect is making a considerable investment in you and your future. Therefore, we expect you to be invested in Southern Tier Connect in return. Upon acceptance into the program, you will be asked to sign an agreement to continue working at Southern Tier Connect for an established period of time (determined by your academic program) following your program completion.

If you choose to leave Southern Tier Connect anytime in the agreed-upon time period, you may be required to repay up to 100% of your tuition. If you decide to leave Southern Tier Connect any time during your studies, you will be financially liable for the tuition payment of the semester in which you are currently enrolled. After leaving Southern Tier Connect, if you choose to remain enrolled in your program to complete your remaining requirements, you will be responsible for all remaining tuition bills.
